The Korea Local Administration Review

The magnification of administrative area has been suggested by the persons of several branches. Especially, to increase competition around the countries, the magnification of administrative area has been considered as the competency of local government. However, the magnification of administrative area must beforehand examine effects of the policy because it has many cost. Therefore, this study aims at finding evidences to appropriateness for magnification of administrative area. For this purpose, this study inquires the administrative efficiency and capacity of local government to refer records. According this study, the magnification of administrative area must not correspond to the administrative efficiency and capacity of local government.
