A Study on Success Factors of Urban Regeneration Collaborative Governance: Focusing on Daejeon Urban Regeneration Support Centerdownload
This study is analyzed for setting up success factors of urban regeneration collaborative governance through AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process) survey of ‘Urban Regeneration Support Center(URSC) of Daejeon Metropolitan City’. Major research findings are as follows. First, residents, public servants and experts all recognized that ‘collaboration culture’ is the most important success factor for the urban regeneration collaborative governance. However, as a performance factor of urban regeneration, residents answered ‘physical & environmental regeneration’ is the most important, while public servants and experts answered ‘economic regeneration’ is the most important. This result suggests that success experience strategy oriented to residents is needed to urban regeneration. Second, public servants recognized that administrative leadership factors like Daejeon Mayor and chief of Daejeon URSC are more important than collaborative system, which was caused by constraints of operation efficiency of URSC. Based on the difference in recognition of success factors among actors in URSC, these findings suggest implications of which factors should be prioritized for the design and operation of collaborative governance in the future.
