The Korea Local Administration Review

The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze whether the Social Economic Promotion Ordinance of local municipalities positively affects the activation of cooperatives, which is a representative social economic organization in Korea. The analysis unit of the study is the local municipality in Korea. The municipalities may adopt their own ordinances, but they may be influenced by the metropolitan municipal ordinances of upper municipality. This study separates these situations and derives results. In addition, the control variables are extracted based on the social science theory suggested by the previous researchers to enhance the explanatory power of the model.
