The culture and arts center of local governments could be run by localgovernments, public corporations, regional art foundations, and otherorganizations. This study hypothesizes that the different types of managementdetermine the performance of the culture and arts center of local governments.For the test of this hypothesis, the national cultural infrastructure overviewdata of 2012, 2013, and 2014-year is employed. The findings are as follows:first, the management of the culture and arts center by public corporation leadsto greater facility operation but lower profit than the management by localgovernments. Second, there is no difference in performance between the cultureand arts centers run by local governments, regional art foundations, and otherorganizations. Third, the career of mayors, the number of performance groupbelonging to the culture and arts center, and population density have influenceon the profit of the culture and arts center. Fourth, the facility operation isdetermined by the characteristics of the culture and arts center such as thenumber of seats, paid membership, and the number of performance group andthe characteristics of local governments such as financial independence andtypes of local governments.
