This study is aimed at finding ways to expand social enterprises to createjobs for vulnerable social groups in Nam-dong Gu, Incheon. For this purpose, Icarried out a profitability analysis targeted 16 social enterprises. Socialenterprises have both business-characteristics for profit and socialcharacteristicsfor publicity. In consideration of them, this study conducted aprofitability analysis using economic performance indicator like sales orbusiness profits, Social Return on Investment(SROI), and Blended ROI(BROI)analysis methods. The findings are as follows. The results of economicperformance analysis show that some social enterprises have a poor economicperformance or are concerned about debt payments. Also others have a highdependence on government grants even if they have favorable economicperformance like growth rate, profitability, and stability. In the results of SocialReturn on Investment analysis, SROI of Social enterprises in Nam-dong Gu is52.0%. It is higher than average SROI of social enterprises all over thecountry, 48.9%, suggested in a previous study.
