Organizational Citizenship Behaviors(OCB) is of core important in the workplace. Many researchers have examined numerous factors affecting OCB such as organizational justice, organizational commitment, job satisfaction etc., but the relative contribution of Affective well-being(AWB) to OCB has not been almost touched yet.
Setting up the hypotheses that both perceived organization behavior(POS) and AWB as moderator might make a positive effect on affiliative behaviors (e.g., altruism, courtesy, and sportsmanship etc) and change-oriented behaviors related to civic virtue of OCB, the current study analyzed the relationship between POS, AWB and OCB of over 300 public service employees working in the Kyungnam Province of Korea.
The results based on the analysis of structure equation modelling using 300 samples supported the significantly strong, positive relationship between POS and OCB with AWB moderately affecting OCB.
