Korea Research Institute for Local Administration(KRILA) hosted a seminar under the theme of “How to Tackle the Low Birthrate and Population Decline in Korea and Japan” on November 30h, 2016 in the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry(KCCI) Seoul.
 

The Seminar co-hosted by Council of Local Authorities for International Relations(CLAIR), Seoul Newspaper and sponsored by Korean Ministry of the Interior, Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Embassy of Japan in Korea and Seoul-Japan Club, began with the keynote speech of Mr. Hidehiko Yuzaki the governor of Hiroshima prefecture in Japan followed by the speech of Mr. Lee Choon-hee, Mayor of Sejong Special Self-Governing City.
 

In the thematic session, Prof. Kim Soon-eun of Graduate School of Public Administration, Seoul National University began with his presentation and the presentation of Prof. Takada Hirofumi of National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Japan was followed. In the discussion session, meaningful and various comments were provided by the five discussants.
